Welcome to the Modern Middle Ages
also known as the Society for Creative Anachronism
Welcome to Trivium, a beautiful shire at the crossroads of Drachenwald. We invite you to join us for a weekend of feasting and revelry in a medieval abbey complete with 11th century dining hall, walled garden and a tranquil cloister.
Come spend a weekend at the abbey with a group of friendly voyagers from the medieval era. For an entire weekend in June, we will attempt to lose sight of the modern world. All attendees are asked to make an attempt to present and comport themselves as a medieval personage of their choosing.
The meals will be true medieval fare cooked by an experienced chef and there will be extra snacks and drinks available for purchase in the tavern. There will be a small library with books for you to check out and read as well as a collection of card and board games to play.
There will be arts and sciences classes held throughout the weekend as well as an archery practice or tournament if there is enough interest. There will be guided hikes through the Abbey’s forest (with a possibility of a scavenger hunt!) and on Saturday evening we will have a candlelit feast followed by dancing and revelry.
As the event is occurring on Midsummer weekend, our dear friend, Countess Agnes will be traveling down from Sweden to guide us in celebrating a truly festive Midsummer’s Eve complete with strawberry cake, silly songs, and a maypole.
This site is dog friendly. Don’t forget your leash in case there are other dogs or people who are afraid of dogs.
ATTENTION: The water on site is non-potable. 3 liters of water are included with your registration and additional bottles of water will be available for purchase in the tavern.
If you are a merchant and would like to set up a table to sell your wares, please contact our Autocrat for information!
